Mothers Day Poems

--

I never got to choose you
But what great taste, Dad had;
He picked the bestest wife
And I got the bestest Mom.

Working mothers are guinea pigs in a scientific experiment to show that sleep is not necessary to human life.

You're wonderful dear Mom
And you've done so much for me;
I just want say these words
Thank You for setting me free!

You've showed me how to tell the truth
You've taught me how to be strong;
To truelly love and except myself
You've taught me right from wrong.

I'm proud to have you as my Mom
So celebrate your special day;
Mothers Day comes round but once a year
But every moment of every day all my love is coming your way.

Mothers Day  Poems

--

I don’t recall the first time you held me
Or when I first heard your voice.
But from the first moment you held me in your arms,
you made the most selfless choice.

You chose to change your busy life
so that my life could begin.
You were my shelter from the rain,
On you I could depend.

You held my hand when I was afraid,
And helped me to mend my first broken heart.
You bandaged my wounds, wiped my tears
Aand kept me from falling apart.

You loved me without question,
No matter what I did.
You shaped me into a confident adult
From such an awkward kid.

Even though you’re not always right beside me,
Your love is matched by no other,
And I thank God each day for his greatest gift:
Making you my mother

Your Mom is the one who made you laugh,
Wiped your tears and hugged you;
Watched you succeed and seen you fail
Cheered you on and kept strong anew;

When God gave you your Mom
He promised a friend for life;
So whilst she is with you in this world
Tell her you love her, & give her no strife

God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.
Jewish Proverb

My Mother could burn toast
She couldn't cook at all;
But she would play and read to us
We really had a ball.

She was always there with everything
So Dad had to do the dinners;
But we all survived and laughed a lot
In fact I think we were all winners.

So Dearest Mother we want to say
No matter about your cooking;
We love you to bits anyway
 We chucked it when you weren't looking.
Happy Mothers Day
