New Baby Poems

With tears in our eyes as we saw you emerge
Crinkly and covered in jelly;
You blinked and then shouted at the top of your voice
"I want to go back in my moms belly.

I was warm and safe I could hear my mom talking
That was all I needed to know;
Now I'm out here in the bright lights
You'll take me everywhere to show.

I suppose I need to grow bigger
As I'm going to grow tall like you;
So give me a bath and make me smell nice
And I will wish the nurses Adieu"

Gather round and celebrate the joy that has been given.
A gift of love, of flesh and blood. A tiny bit of heaven.

See the wonder of it all, and marvel at the sight,
Share the happiness we know, celebrate the life.

Make memories of the times to come, of hours and days and years.
Mark down each step, each task, each word, the laughter and the tears.

For a celebration of life is such, that one must never be
In too big a hurry to stop and smell,to feel,to touch,to see.

Yes, gather round and celebrate the life that has been given,
A gift of love & of hope eternal, our tiny bit of heaven

Nappies and rattles and so little sleep
Whilst they are so small;
But later on when you can play with them
Then it will be time for a ball.

So till then get used to cat napping
All for a minute or two;
Matchsticks keeping eyes open
Listening for babys' cue.

I need a bottle or a drink
My nappy smells all funny;
I'm fed up lying here
And my nose has gone all runny!

Two Little Feet, Too Little Time

Two little feet, ten little toes,
Leave their impressions today.
Soon they will wear two little shoes,
And be running and jumping at play.

Two little feet, too little time,
Before they are walking to school,
Kicking a rock, or skipping a rope,
Wading a puddle or jumping a pool.

Two little feet, One little child,
Will soon go their own way,
But footprints in my mind recall,
They stood here yesterday.

--

The time feels slow at first
But speeds up so;
You'll hardly know where
The early years go.

Faster and faster so photos are good
To remember those little steps;
Sitting up and then crawling
Walking and talking upon you crept.

--

Beautiful baby with little blonde curls
Blue eyes she's got the full set;
Winding you round her little fingers
Beaten already - You bet!

Baby smells all talc and soap
So small but come with so much stuff;
Filling bedrooms and trailers up
All pink teddy bears made out of fluff.

The choice of toys is varied and wide
With gadgets and things galore;
All they really need is a Mom and a Dad
Who will lavish love and them adore.

Babies are Angels that fly to the earth,
Their wings disappear at the time of their birth
One look in their eyes and we're never the same
They're part of us now and that part has a name

That part is your heart and a bond that won't sever
Our Babies are Angels, we love them forever.

**********

Precious one,
So small, So sweet
Dancing in on angel feet
Straight from Heaven's brightest star
What a miracle you are!

**********

This little tiny baby
Was sent from God above;
To fill our hearts with happiness
And touch our lives with love.
He must have known we'd give our all
And always do our best,
To give our precious baby love
And be grateful and so blessed.

**********

A Baby poem verse can say a variety of  things. Here's a poem, written as if from the baby to the parents to accompany a handprint of  the baby

**********

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And leave my little fingerprints
On furniture and walls.
But every day I'm growing
And soon I'll be tall.
That these little fingerprints
Will be difficult to recall.
So here's a little handprint
That you can put away
So you will know how my fingers looked
On this special day

To welcome our new precious son

Ten tiny fingers, that always want to play,
That never stop exploring that wonder of today,
Ten tiny fingers, that from the very start,
Will reach out for tomorrow yet always hold your heart.

Ten tiny fingers,
Ten tiny toes
Rosebud cheeks,
Cute button nose

Bringing love and joy into your home.

Baby Boy Poem Verse
Baby poems should include verses for both boys and girls. Here's a baby boy poem for your baby poem collection with a religious slant. A baby boy is a treasure! Tie it to the baby gift with a blue ribbon!

**********

 The Lord has blessed you once again
With the birth of your dear son
A gift of love sent down to you

And a blessing to everyone
We pray that God will impart to you
His wisdom and His grace
That you may raise him to become
A man with Godly faith

**********

There is nothing more precious than the miracle of life.
( name ) you've changed into a mother

Having first become a wife.
Now ( name ) is a father

With his (son/daughter) upon his knee.
There is nothing more rewarding

This is how it's meant to be.
A child completes a family

And there's nothing more to say.
Except to wish you joy and happiness

Upon each and every day
Congratulations

Here's a baby poem verse with an inspiring message to the parents. which could be put in a card but would be lovely as a framed gift, as a reminder and source of inspiration

**********

 If a child lives with tolerance,
he learns to be patient.

If a child lives with encouragement,
he learns confidence.

If a child lives with praise,
he learns to appreciate.

If a child lives with fairness,
he learns justice.
If a child lives with security,

he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval,
he learns to like himself.

If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,
He learns to find love in the world.
BUT

If a child lives with criticism,
he learns to condemn.

If a child lives with hostility,
he learns to fight.

If a child lives with ridicule,
he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame,

he learns to feel guilty.

Baby Poem Verse

May your precious little one
fill your lives with happy days
in many new
and countless ways.

To the lucky pair who now will share
The love of someone small,
To the "Someone New" a welcome, too,

And Best Wishes to you All!

**

A rose can say I love you,
Orchids can enthrall,
But a weed bouquet in a chubby fist,
Oh my, that says it all!

From Baby to Parents(Grandparents)

Coochy, coochy coo
Is what most grown ups say;
No wonder we're a bit silly
Saying that all day!

It's alright really,
I'm not on languages yet;
I'll just lay here and gurgle
Grinning from ear to ear I'll bet!

They named me (childs name) without asking my advice,
I think they're going to keep me cos they think I'm very nice.
I have ten tiny fingers and ten ickle tiny toes
a lovely little bundle with a lovely little nose.
Ten tiny fingers ten tiny toes,
lips like a rose bud, one button nose
put all these things together and see what God has done.
He's sent to you a little girl/boy to be loved by everyone.

Babies have a certain smell
Most of the time quite nice;
But on occasions when it's not so good
They are handed back in a trice.
