Thinking of You Poems

I thought of you this morning
The radio played our favorite song;
They said the year it was made
I can't believe you've been gone so long.

I miss you each and everyday
Our daughter now looks just like you;
We talk about you all the time
She's clever and so pretty too.

That damn crash that took you
I'll never go on a train again;
But all our lives were ripped apart
Never to be the same again.

Thinking about you is a song
I heard the other day;
I thought I'sd send you a copy
Baby, it's on it's way!

A year ago today our divorce came through
Just a piece of paper changing the
"I do" We are now the " Oh No we don't anymore"
but this song always reminds me of you

Long time no see but you are always in my thoughts
and this poem below puts these into better words than I!

You were like a sister to me when no one else cared
You heard me calling when I was in despair
You even held my hand and helped me to face my fear
You take great care of me and let me know your there
Thank you for always been sincer

I think about you when you leave
I think about you when I pick you up;
I wonder what lessons you are doing
When sums and history try to trip you up.
Painting and sports are what you like
I know that cos you're just like me;
But trust me you will need these things
When you're grown up as busy as a bee!

Thinking of you because I love You
Thinking of you because I care;
You're throwing your life away
I'm telling you " Don't you even dare!"

I gave birth to you and "I love you son"
You have fallen by the wayside;
Taking drugs won't get you anywhere
But ignoring me won't work "You cannot hide!"

You need your inner strength
I know that you can do it;
You tell me all the time that that is so
Well now's the time to prove it!

Memories are all we have
And as old as we are they are good;
There's life in the old dog yet
So catch me when I'm in the mood.

Thinking about our lives together
Boy have we had fun;
Been together all this time
That's surprised everyone.

My Grandchildren are all over the place
I love them through and through;
I just can't get to see them
As much as I would like to do.

That doesn't mean I don't think about them
Each and everyday;
They're in my prayers when the angels I ask;
Keep them safe in love and light
All the time they are out of my sight.

Remembering My Thoughts of You

God sent me an Angel to call my very own,
I thought we'll always be together from this day on.
I remember all the good times
and the awesome lovemaking we shared.
All the hopes and dreams we had,
nothing in my life could ever compare
I will always remember your sweet Angelic face,
With a smile brighter than the sun light,
with such beauty and grace.
There will always be a place
deep down in my heart,
a special place where only you
will occupy that part.
I remember the way your body felt
as I held you close to me.
In my heart and in my soul
is where you belong and will always be.

If you were a plant what plant would you be?
I remember you asking me that question when you were three
You have since grown and long gone from the nest
You always liked my answers 'cos they were the best.
An aubergine I said as it's my favorite color
Very tasty and very loved in a moussaka
It's full of goodness and vitamins when ripe
but full of memories of you as I type.

Cuddly granddaughter of mine
You have no idea how much I love you
And miss you
Not a day goes by that my heart isn't aching to see you

If you live a hundred years,
I want to live a hundred years,
Minus one day so I never have to live without you

I have a grandma . .
who hugs, kisses, smiles and says, My, how you've grown
whenever she sees me.
but not anymore . .

I have a grandma . .
.who plays in the creek at deer camp and helps me catch cray fish without going eeewww.
but not anymore . .

I have a grandma . .
who can teach me how to play solitaire three different ways and not snitch if I cheat.
but not anymore . .

I have a grandma . .
who tells the most wonderful stories, snorts when she laughs, and has a joke with four punch lines.
but not anymore . .

I have a grandma . .
who comes to my tea parties, plays dress up and always lets me be the queen.
but not anymore . .

I have a grandma . . who drives a sporty purple car, very fast just to make me and my sister laugh out loud.
but not anymore . .

I have a grandma . .
who has Alzheimer's disease, doesn't know my name or even say, My how you've grown when she sees me
but she's not my grandma

I want her to let my grandma come out to play

I miss you Grandma

As I sat here through my tears
I look back on all the years
Games we lost and won
The prom where we had so mch fun
Having fun with great laughter
We all lived happliy ever after
As I walked down the hall for the last time
realizing I never again here that tardy bell chime
Ditching school because we were way too cool
I can never take back those days
and now is it to late to
Make amends with old best friends
For now I say ,from today til forever
Goodbye to all that came my way.

Thinking of You whilst you save the world

You've picked a mighty task;
Soldiering on in blistering heat
Is it worth it myself I ask?

I am full of admiration for your guts
Your courage and your faith;
But I don't think fighting is the way
I just want you to be safe!

I know that's what you firmly believe
So I'm behind you all the way;
I'm thinking of you now dear boy
I just had to have my say!
