"We make a living by
what we get,
but we make a life
by what we give."
Winston Churchill

......  life was full of love
She shared it with one and all;
But her shoulder we all lent on
Would stop us when we fall.

Her words of wisdom never failed
Plus her magic cup of tea;
Sit down she'd say and wait a min
And then you can tell it all to me.

So Winston got it right this time
She made her life by what she gave;
The memories of happy times
She will take with her to her grave.

She's left us though with a way of life
That we can copy and use;
To share our laughter as well as pain
Help each other when we've got the blues!

We will miss her ever so much
It will take some getting used to;
But the memories will make us smile
Fresh just like the morning dew.

When I am gone, release me -let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you love, you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness
I thank you for the love each have shown
But now it is time I travelled alone.

So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust;
It is only for a while that we must part
So bless those memories within your heart.

I will not be far away, for life goes on.
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you cannot see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen with your heart, you will hear.

All of my love around you, soft and clear.
Then when you must come this way alone,
I will greet you with a smile and "welcome home"

--

I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too;
I think of you in silence I often speak your name
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake with which I’ll never part
God has you in His keeping I have you in my heart.

If I should go tomorrow
It would never be goodbye,
For I have left my heart with you,
So don't you ever cry.
The love that's deep within me,
Shall reach you from the stars,
You'll feel it from the heavens,
And it will heal the scars.

--

I know I have to let you go.
How I will, I do not know.
I know that it's your time to die.
What I don't know is how to say goodbye.
I'll miss you so much I don't know what to do.
I guess I'll just end this poem with a goodbye
and an" I love you."

She was so very, very special
And was so from the start;
You held her in your arms
But mainly in your heart.

And like a single drop of rain
That on still waters fall;
Her life did ripples make
And touched the lives of all.

She's gone to play with angels
In heaven up above;
So keep your special memories
And treasure them with love.

Although your darling daughter
Was with you just a while;
She'll live on in your heart
With a sweet remembered smile.

Our goodbyes all said so why does this hurt
I can't remember ever being in so much pain;
Relief won't come for quite a long time
When you're back in my arms again.

I know you tried to tell me
It is not fair but life is never so!
"But this is what I want to do"
 I should never have let you go.

So many have died whilst keeping us safe
From worldly fights all around.
You were so young with so much to give
Your memories with love will abound!

Time has taken me from you,
Although not very far.
I'll be watching through the sunshine
And through the brightest star.

I'll be watching all of you,
From the heavens up above.
So take good care of each other
And carry all my love.

If you're ever wondering
If I'm there, here's where you can start.
Take a look inside yourself
Deep within your heart.

 I'll alwyas be you baby
Your child(grandchild), your best friend;
So anytime you need me,
Close your eyes I'm back again.
