Dad Birthday Poems

--

There can't be anybody like my Dad
He must be quite unique;
Still in white shirt and tie
He thinks he looks magnifique.

Someone ought to tell him
That colours are now cool;
He used to be in the Army though
When uniforms were still made of wool.

Strict, harsh but funny too
When hiding on the roof;
In later years though that's all gone
Like magic it went Poof!

I love him to bits though
And wouldn't change him for the world;
He did the best thing that dad's can do
He adored my Mom as their lives unfurled.

You were born many years ago on this very day
So Dearest Dad-this poems for you;
Enjoy your Birthday and many many more
My love for you will always stay true.

Dad may all your dreams come true
We hope you enjoy today;
As we are taking you absailing
On this your special Birthday.

It's special because it's you
It doesn't matter about the number;
So are you chicken or are you not
And will you be able to jumpa!

--

Don't laugh at me because I'm a fool
And you certainly are still silly
But I love you with all my heart
so glad you're my DAD - you silly billy.

Lets face it Dad you're getting old
The jogging trainers will have to go;
It's time to invest in some slippers
Now you've reached the big six -0.

It's only a number you say that all the time
And we won't change because we love you so;
We'll slow down and wait for you
Don't pull a fast one on us though!

Your get up and go hasn't left you yet
So don't take us lot for fools;
You've brought us up well
But we've still got you by your jewels.
Happy Birthday Dad

Somebody up there loved you

And sent you to people down here

Who love you even more!

Happy Birthday Dad!

                                              **

You're at an age when you've finally got your head together and your body's falling apart;

Good job we love all the bits

Happy Birthday DAD

On your birthday, why not loosen up.

Put some music on.

Get your body moving and dance the night away

I'll keep an ambulance on stand-by.

                                             **

Have a good one Dad

You deserve a good day off;

You work so hard all year round

But I won't let you win at golf.

So dinner is booked for after the game

Mom will be in her new dress;

All the family will be waiting

For your birthday to bless.

We love you Dad!!!

Dad Birthday Poems

**

Can't remember how old you are -

I'm no good with big numbers.

**

Anyway you're not at all like a (50) year old

And I mean what I say

Mind you, being a (Jim Reeves) fan

Is a dead giveaway

**

As for the fact you're thinning

That's hardly fair;

You're not folically challenged

You've just outgrown your hair.

**

So for your new trip around the sun

That takes another 365 days;

Start off with a wonderful time

On this your special birthday!

Happy Birthday Dad

You always did want to be an astronaut

Not realising that in fact we all are;

Travelling at thousands of miles a second

So we hope you still enjoy your new car!

**

You've been a special gift to all of us

We love you through and through;

So have a fantastic birthday

And start another year anew.

**

So what with the soccer and baseball madness
That overcomes you time and time again;
You must remember your not as fit anymore
We're sorry but you'll have to refrain.

Find something softer you can do from your chair
You've got to try the electronic golf;
You will like it we know you will especially
When you discover you can still Tee us off!

Daddy Oh Daddy You are my cuddley one
I wait for your hug every night when you come home;
I love your birthday just as much as mine
I thought I'd write you a poem.

Happy Birthday to You
Squashed tomatoes and stew;
Bread & butter in the gutter
Happy Birthday to You!

**

Don't let another birthday bother you.
Why, you look terrific!
Of course, when you were born,
Things were made to last!
Happy Birthday

As you get older,
you gain knowledge,
tolerance and serenity
...then your teeth fall out.

For a Step Dad

You’re really just like a dad to me
So this is coming your way
With lots of loving wishes
On your very special day

You’re lots of fun
To be around
And I feel really glad
Because I am so lucky
That I’ve got you
As my dad

**

40 today and you look really fit and trim..
Why, even your hair looks thinner.

**

This card is filled with wishes
for a very special day,
One that brings a world of joy
and happiness your way-
It's also filled with loving thoughts
especially meant for you,
For you're the kind of person
happy things should happen to!
Happy Birthday

Don't bother with a nip n tuck
Don't rebel and cause outrage
Just do the decent thing.....
.....Lie about your age

**

Your body has a mind of it's own
I think it's left the country
But never mind you still got me
Which leaves you up a gumtree
Ha Ha Happy birthday
Maggie-May

**

When I was just a tiny kid,
Do you remember when,
The time you kissed my bruises,
Or cleaned by soiled chin?

You scrambled for the balls I hit,
(Short-winded more than not,)
Yet, every time we'd play a game,
You praised the "outs" I caught.

It seems like only yesterday,
You wiped away my tears,
And late at night I called your name,
To chase away my fears.

Though time has changed your handsome grip,
Your hair is snowy white,
You gait's a little slower now,
Thick glasses help your sight.

Oh, do I thirst for years gone by,
To be that growing lad,
Re-living all of the memories,
Of growing with my dad.
Happy Birthday, old man
