Grandma you look so lovely
To good to be my Granny;
My friends at school are all amazed
Because you are so bouncy.

The grey hair isn't there and
They say their grannies are very old;
But all of us know you started young
But I'm not sure the truth is told;

You keep fit and do Pilates
I'm told that works a treat;
Whatever it is that you are doing?
You ought to bottle eet!

So have a good one Grandma Dear!
We love you very much;
We don't care how old you are
Do anything for you at a touch!

Grandparents are just that
Grand to say the least;
Whatever one you call them
They always have you creased.

Are you a Nana or a Grandma
Gramps or a Grandpa;
Always full of smiles and gifts
But most of all time to give.

Hugs and love you all the time
I am so glad that you are mine;
Cooking, art and writing too
I've learnt all I know from you.

Most of all you've taught me love
And that it comes down from up above;
God looks after us each and every day
You told me that and showed the way.

Grandmas give you lots of chocs
And let you stay up late,
Then they give you lots of pop
And sweeties by the crate.
They tell you brilliant stories of when
Mom(Mum) & Dad were small
You then find out the real truth,
They weren't so good at all
They're Santa Claus all year round
They never ever bug you.
With massive hearts and open arms
Just waiting there to hug you.
Have a lovely birthday Grandma

--

Congratulations Grandma,
You've reached the big "6-O";
You were born in the last millennium
So that's a long, long time ago.
I've always liked your wisdom
I've always laughed at your jokes;
But stop trying to sit me on your knee
As now I'm a great big bloke.
Maggie-May

Grandma you're my best friend and always are right there…
With wisdom, faith, and strength to share…
and heaps of love that shows how much you care…
Happy Birthday Grandma

--

Grandma, I don't know where I'd be without you?
You stepped up and took me in;
I've had a hard time you know
I would have landed in the bin.

You loved me always anyway,
Eventually I turned;
My heart had melted finally
As love was what I'd yearned.

So Thank You are such small words
But coming from the heart;
I appreciate all you've done for me
Boy! You are so smart.

You knew that deep inside
I was going to be alright;
With love and lots of work on me
It took you all your might!

So the biggest and the very best
Birthday wishes are in store;
Words won't cover what you've done
But I love you more and more!

Happy Birthday to a Wonderful Grandma!

To a wonderful Grandma
a little note from the heart.....
these few simple words
will never be enough
to express a lifetime of thanks,
for the many wonderful ways
that you`ve helped,
loved and cared for me.....
or to let you know how much
you`re loved and appreciated
for everything you do grandma.
happy birthday!
with love

On your special birthday Grandma

This one is just for you;

A time for doing everything

That you especially want to do.

So where do you want to be

And what do you want to do;

Your wish is my desire because

You deserve the very nicest things

Happy Birthday

For a very special lady

Extra special wishes booked;

I love you grandma very much

So your dinner I have cooked.

I know that you will be amazed

Surprised and a little bit touched;

But I just had to show you

That I love you very much.

Happy Birthday Grandma

This has always puzzled me,

Just how much is a pinch?

These recipes of yours, Grandma

Surely are no cinch.

A "snip" of this, a "dab" of that,

A "lump" of something else,

Then ladle in a "dollop"

And "stir until it melts."

I have to be a wizard

To decipher what you said,

About all these strange proportions

In the cookbook, in your head.

How much nutmeg in the doughnuts?

Grandma, you never flinch,

As you say, with twinkling eyes,

"Oh, just about a pinch."

There must be in your wise head

A measuring device,

That tells you just how much to use

Of sugar, salt and spice

Happy Birthday Super Cook

Grandma, you have been there forever and a day
You know all about me and keep the world at bay
You laugh at my jokes even when they're not good
I don't tell you I love you enough even though I know I should
So have a fantastic birthday and even though I know you're not 39
I'll love you always because you are especially mine
Maggie-May

Grandma you are very special
And mean the world to me;
I know you're always busy
As busy as a bee!
You always make the time
As if there's plenty of it;
For a cuddle and a listen
To cheer me up a bit.
So have a Fabulous Birthday Grandma

A grandmother is a very special lady
Mixed up with lots of love,
Kindness, warmth and laughter too
She lifts us and gets us to rise above.

Every success she is the one behind
Go for your dreams we hear her say;
It doesn't matter what people may think
You'll live to go on for another day!

She has all the wisdom of a teacher
And the loyalty of a true friend;
Sincere and tender just like our mother
Always there and ready to mend.

We're full of love and admiration
In return for all the joy she brings;
She is very dear and precious
On her birthday our hearts do sing
We Love You Grandma Happy Birthday

Grandparents come in all shapes and sizes

Most of them on the cuddly side;

All love and adore us above and beyond

Our faults they don't even try to hide.

They see way beyond that error we've just made;

Talk us through it with wise words a plenty;

They make us feel so much better

Without them this world would be so empty.

Few can bring the warmth
We can find in their embrace,
And little more is needed to bring love.
Than the smile on their face.
They’ve a supply of precious stories,
Yet they’ve time to wipe a tear,
Or give us reasons to make us laugh,
They grow more precious through the years.
I believe that God sent us Grandparents
As our legacy from above,
To share the moments of our life,
As extra measures of His love.

Grandma Birthday Poems

My grandma wears some funny hats
But not all of them are the same;
My friends Grandma is really young
and still plays lots of games.
Grandmas come in all shapes and sizes
With lots of different color hair;
They all have magic kisses though
when you've fallen from a chair.
Cookies are their specialty
for all sorts of bumps and bruises;
You have to be good though
She won't put up with excuses.

My grandad and my grandma are very close to me

I'm glad they have this grandparents special day;

It gives me extra time with them

With lots and lots to say.

How much I love them and they make me laugh

And I wish the world had stayed like theirs;

It would be nice to have the freedom of the streets

Stay out all day without a phone 'cos now we wouldn't dare.

A grandmother who’s special
Who’s caring and sincere.
Who’s always took good care of me
And always brought good cheer.

A grandmother who’s loving
Who’s patient and kind.
Who’s always made me smile
And always on my mind.

A grandmother who’s sweet
Who’s gentle and polite.
Who’s always made me laugh
After a scary night.

You’ll always be the best
No matter where you are.
You’ll always be in my heart
And in God’s hands..
I Love You Grandmother
By Amy E. Mortimer

They say that genes ship a generation

So maybe that's why I'm like you;

I'm so glad about that Grandma

Apart from your hairs gone blue.

Why ever did you do that?

I'm not sure I'll ever know;

But our good looks will still prevail

As alongside you I grow.

Love you Grandma-more than you'll ever know!

Grandmother you are like a patchwork quilt
So cozy and warm.
Just the smell of coffee
Reminds me of your wisdom and charm.

I know I can always come to you
When lost or alone.
For you always comfort me
And make me feel at home.

You are the silver lining of a cloudy day.
And I know whom can trust
when clouds blow my way.
Grandmother, your hugs and kisses
Will be stored in my heart each day.

Old Woman

As a white candle
In a holy place,
So is the beauty
Of an aged face.

Joseph Campbell

I must grow older gracefully

I'm sure that's what you said;

But fulfilling your bucket list

You're gonna land up dead.

Jumping out of aeroplanes

Is what you want to do;

But give a thought to all of us

Having palpitations watching you.

We love you dearly and always have

You know we always will;

You have no need to worry

As your not over that hill.

Grandma always knows best
I know that to be true;
She knows so very many things
As she's older than me and you.

Her memory goes back years and years

But she loses track of time;

I love all her stories though

Especially 'cos she' mine.
