Grandad Birthday Poems

It is said that the most precious thing ever
To come into a mans world is a womans heart;
My grandad says that's only partly true
As I wasn't there for a start.

He spends lots of time with me
And I think he's the best in the world;
Telling magical stories all the time
With me at his feet unfurled.

So with lots of hugs and kisses too
I wish you a very happy birthday;
I knew you'd want some presents too
Your shed for you to fill with railways.

The trains and trams are your specialty
You love them all to bits;
You have them all over everywhere
And Grandma says they get on her t...
Happy Birthday Grandad

A new lease of life my Grandad says
That's what you have given me.
I'm not sure about that I say
I reckon it's all that tea.
Cup after cup and all day long
Is what Grandad is all he seems to do;
He says he does gardening and plays golf
I'm not sure about that - are you?

Grandad you're very ---- very old
But still look good all the same;
Who care's if your hair's going grey
And you'll suit a zimmer frame.
OK so you fall asleep in the chair
Your snoring's not that bad;
As for the sound you make when you sing
It's very ------ similar, Grandad

Grandfathers are a special breed
Of kinfolk, all their own.
They love you and hug you,
And spoil you to death.
And then, they send you home.

New socks or a tie?
That is the question;
You need to get a hobby
To change the gifts we've chosen.

A sport maybe or write a book
You could try golf or ride a bike;
 Grandma said you'd be no good
As none of those you'd like.

So what to do or what to buy
The man who says he has it all;
He's got the grandchildren to drive wild
And truelly he is having a ball.

So today you'll go wild
We've planned our treats for you;
This time it's going to be our turn
For you to be the one persued.

Happy Birthday Grandad
Alton Towers is yours for the day;
You'll lose your tummy and your knees
You'll be terrified come what may!!!

My Grandad takes me fishing
I think it's because it's quiet;
We're quite good at it now you know
We take lots of goodies and break our diet.

Everyone thinks we cheated
When we caught a great big trout;
But we don't really care about that
Cos we had a fabulous day out!
Happy Birthday Grandad

Dear old Grandad

You have always been there;

No matter what the problem

Even though you've now got no hair.

You will always be so cuddly

And we will laugh at your joke;

As far as you're concerned

You are the man in our Menfolk.

The head of the clan

The big boss in the end;

You always have that last word

To everyone you befriend.

So Thank You for your wisdom

Your kindness overflows;

At last your golf is improving

Even though it's getting slow.

We don't care how long you take

To do absolutely anything;

As long as you're our patriarch

You make our hearts sing!

Happy Birthday to You!!!

May God shower you with his love

Today and everyday:

For you to have joy and fun

On this your special birthday!

Happy Birthday Gramps!

Just like fine wine

You grow better with the years;

So have a drink or two

Especially nice cool beers.

You're a special grandad

Because you belong to me;

The one I come to all the time

And sit upon your knee.

You tell me your problems

And I tell you all of mine;

But then we decide not to worry

We haven't got the time.

So have a Happy Birthday

As I'm sure everyone agrees;

You're not only our Grandad

You are the bees knees!

* Grandad Birthday Poems *

Hope it adds
some special pleasure
To the hours of your day
To know you're being thought of
In the very warmest way...
And when your birthday's over,
Hope that you'll remember, too,
The same warm thoughts as always
Will keep going out to you!
 Happy Birthday Grandad

We Love You!

Grandads like to spend time with us
They can't hear very well so we can shout;
They tell us jokes and have a laugh
They're teeth wobble and can even take them out.

They say that grandfathers hair is silver

With lots of gold in their heart;

My grandads far to young for that

I'm not sure where to start!

His hide and seek is quite unique

He goes up on the roof;

We never thought of looking up there

So that idea was foolproof.

He always has a smile

No matter what we've done;

He's kind and funny

Our Grandad-The only one!

Grandads jokes are a specialty

I don't know where he gets them;

He's the only one who laughs

And everyones a gem.

For my dear old grandad in his slippers
Reading his newspapers everyday;
I wish you all you would wish yourself
On this very special birthday.

Able to play football I know you'll say
Run around minus aches and pains;
But the WII works wonders for you now
Footies back on the agenda again.
Happy Birthday Grandad!

**

You may complain you're getting older
But the alternative is worse
Eating birthday cake is much preferred
To riding in a hearse

**

Grandad you're very ---- very old
But still look good all the same;
Who care's if your hair's going grey
And you'll suit a zimmer frame.

OK so you fall asleep in the chair
Your snoring's not that bad;
As for the sound you make when you sing
It's nearly the same, grandad.
Happy Birthday Grandad

There's no doubt you're a winner
At remote racing cars and sport;
But look at the team of losers
You've chosen to support.

Fair enough you're very good at things
Especially your playstation and your Wii
But not golf, so says the caravan man
He'll keep it secret for a fee;

It's true that you're good looking
Gorgeous some have said;
But does Di Caprio have a baseball cap
Superglued to his head?

You're a chips and cat loving smartie pants
Who's got a funny side;
It's been hard to find good insults
But believe us Gramps, we've tried.

It's time for you to give up Hooch
Now you've become one of the older set
Congratulations, all the best And no we haven't finished yet.

So today you'll try and tell us
That you're only 59 again;
But we don't mind how old you are
Cheers on your birthday and sink the gin!

My grandad is a toyboy
Cos Grandma's older he says;
But I don't think that counts
When it's months or even days.

So a Happy Birthday Grandad
You'll be off to the pub again;
So have a good one and one for us
We'll stay in tonight with the bairns.

**

Because you’re very special
We hope your Birthday holds in store
Happy hours that overflow
With all you’re wishing for;
And hope the days that follow it
Make up a year that brings
Everything that you deserve
A million happy things.

**

Golf clubs and jazzy socks
That's what's in store for you;
Your birthdays are hard to get for
You've got everything and all new.

So next year gramps give me a clue
To change the golfing rounds;
I don't know what else to get you
As round the sports shops I pound.
