Daughter Birthday Poems

The first time I saw you my heart was a flutter
You looked at me as if you'd been here before;
You've wound me round your little finger
My feet have never touched the floor.

Each stepping stone from a crawl to a totter
The first time you said Dada my knees gave way;
Your giggle along with your wiggle
You only have to smile at me to this very day.

The years have flown your all grown up
And you are now leaving your teens;
So life is like a box of chocolates
And there's very few in betweens.

You will always be the eldest ....
You will always be the first;
So break a leg my love (ironic)
And go and drown your thirst!

Your love of life and your humor too
Has won you many friends;
So enjoy this birthday with them
I'll see you when it ends.

Big Hug and Love from DAD on your Birthday!!

Your birthday is a special time to celebrate the gift of 'you' to the world.

From birth to age eighteen, a girl needs good parents. From eighteen to thirty-five, she needs good looks. From thirty-five to fifty-five, she needs a good personality. From fifty-five on, she needs good cash.

Daughter, Daughter Oh! How you have made my life!
No matter how old you get you'll always be my little girl;
I know sometimes I've embarassed you but hey that's what Dads are for!
I remember so many things my mind goes in a whirl.

From all different ages and funny happenings
To all grown up and working and independent too;
I just thought on your Birthday I'd let you know
Just how much I'm very proud of you

My dearest girl, How sweet you are
I love you very much;
From sweet and baby smelling
You've been lovely to hold and touch.

You cuddled up to watch the telly
Every night after we'd had tea;
Today is remembering the day of your birth
It will always be in my memory.

You screamed your head off for about 5 mins
You then snuggled down upon my chest;
I gazed into your eyes for ages
Cos Baby you're the best!

So have a Happy Birthday
Now that you've reached nine;
Your party will be later on
But for now your mine!

As today is your birthday
You can act in a grumpy way;
Be moody, stubborn and awkward
Just like any other day.

Those hormones have got something to answer for
I bet you'd like to throw them away;
When you're having one of those times and scream out loud
Today though just shout loud IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!

--

I know you are my daughter
But also a loving friend;
You have grown so beautifully
Our love will never end.

So on your birthday, special wishes
Are for you and you alone;
Enjoy your gifts and treasure friends
Now all your balloons are blown.

A special time being twenty one
Never to be had no more;
You are a lucky, lucky lady
And got the key to the door.

So drive safe in your new little car
Dad & I have managed to get;
We love and wish you the very best
Love you forever You Bet!
Happy Birthday Dearest Daughter

Here she is on her very first birthday
It doesn't seem that long ago;
She was cooing for her bottle
And now she's walking on her own.

She's made our life feel so complete
Although she's turned it upside down;
She gives us so much pleasure
Especially whilst playing the clown.
Happy Birthday our Darling Daughter!

What a special little girl, what a special lovely year
You fill each day with happiness with laughter joy and cheer;
No one could have imagined just how precious you could be
A wonderful addition to our family.

**

You can begin to get snappy
And change your mind all the time;
Throw several tantrums daily
Leave your room covered in grime.

One day you like this and the next you don't
Refusing to eat all your greens;
Getting all grumpy and tearful at the drop of a hat
It's the law, you've reached your teens.

**

The Teenage Behaviour Code

It's said you'll get all grumpy
And spend too long in bed
Say "it's not fair" an awful lot
In your teenage years ahead

But these can be exciting times
Energetic, full of beans
Don't rush to be an adult
Take your time, enjoy your teens
Enjoy your 13th Birthday

We are so very proud of you
All grown up and married;
We never doubted for a moment
Although we thought you tarried.

But now you have lots to celebrate
Your 21st Birthday for a start:
With love and best wishes
These come from both our hearts.

**

God sent us an angel
The day that he sent you;
We have loved every second
In heaven it will be deja vu.

The angels wonder where you are
Having so much fun on earth;
Pleasuring us mere parents
The day that we gave birth.

You deserve such fine gifts
Alongside loving friends;
Having jolly good times
So that this day never seems to end!

Many Happy Returns Daughter
Happy Birthday

In doing this birthday tribute
It's tempting to take a rise;
By using words like "Scatter Brain"
Or even "Thunder Thighs"

But that's not fair, you're an athlete
Fine toned body, well honed mind
A jogging, squash and tennis ace
Unique, one of a kind.

You're well organised, and we say that
Not with tongue in cheek
Your work schedule's very hectic
5 hours...every week.

You're not at all like a 40 year old
And we mean what we say
Mind you being a Jim Reeves fan
Is a dead give-away.

We've got no excuse for getting very clever
Apart from copying this ditty.
So to Mr J Bratton we must say Thank You!
But you "Oh Daughter"are looking very pretty!
